Who We are

The Thomas Cole National Historic Site in Catskill, NY marks the birthplace of American art, where the Hudson River School of landscape painting began. At its core, the organization’s purpose is to regenerate Cole’s revolutionary creativity so that it touches people’s lives today.

Learn about who we are and what we’ve been up to in the short film below.

The Thomas Cole Site partnered with Sarah Carlson of Growing Films to produce this film. Drone imagery by Devin Pickering. Support provided by Empire State Development’s I Love New York Program under the Market NY Initiative.
