Published to accompany the 2018 contemporary exhibition at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site, this catalogue includes an introduction by the curator, Kate Menconeri, an essay by Jesse Bransford, Clinical Associate Professor of Visual Arts and Department Chair at NYU, artist texts, and installation views by renowned photographer Peter Aaron. The exhibition is presented in conjunction with the series OPEN HOUSE: Contemporary Art in Conversation with Cole and explores Cole’s use of color, featuring the work of 11 contemporary artists.
