The New Studio Booklet

This publication gives the history of the beautiful Italianate studio that Thomas Cole designed and used as his work space for the last years of his life, and brings together the historic photographs of the original building that was demolished in 1973 as well as the elevation drawings and floor plans for the 2015 reconstruction. Included are the astounding photographs that were taken on the day the 1846 building was torn down, as well as 19th-century drawings of the building by Jasper Cropsey and Frederic Church.
