Visitor Engagement Internship | Spring Semester 2027

The Thomas Cole National Historic Site invites applications for the Spring semester Visitor Engagement Internship. This internship supports the Education department in welcoming visitors to the national historic site, and offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team at a beautiful historic site in Catskill, NY, in the scenic Hudson Valley.

The 120-hour, 8-week internship will take place Fridays–Sundays, from 11am–4pm (with some flexibility), and takes place over February through May, depending upon individuals’ course load and schedule. We encourage students to apply the internships toward course credit, and are happy to accommodate any necessary requirements. The intern will report to the Director of Visitor Engagement.

This opportunity is open to anyone pursuing study in the fields of education, public history, museum studies, or related fields. Individuals from backgrounds that have traditionally been underrepresented are encouraged to apply.
