2022 Reading List
Join us and the Catskill Public Library as we read books inspired by Marc Swanson’s exhibition, A Memorial to Ice at the Dead Deer Disco. Swanson was inspired by Thomas Cole’s writings on the negative effects of development in the Catskills to create works that explore our reaction to the negative effects of climate change. The books included in our 2022 Reading List extend that conversation to discuss both our fears regarding climate change as well as a call to action, hope as well as despair.
Read along with us, check out our reading guides to join the conversation, and be sure to visit Marc Swanson’s exhibition while it’s here!
